HumIBA offers two types of memberships:

Business membership in HumIBA is open to any local business operated by Humboldt area residents with substantial authority to make independent decisions about their business operations.

Associate membership is open to individuals or local organizations interested in supporting the mission and goals of HumIBA.

Current Projects

Right now our primary project is developing and printing the Local Options Directory.

Here are some ways you can get involved and help out with the Directory:

1. Donate your cash. Help us pay to print stickers and proposals, create our website and a brochure, as well as general advertising for the project. Estimated printing cost for the directory alone is just under $30,000.

2. Donate your time. Help us by donating some of your time to outreach to independent businesses.

3. Give in-kind donations. Can your business or organization help in some way besides donating cash? Let us know!

4. Become a member of the Humboldt Independent Business Alliance. If you own a local business or are interested in supporting local independents, show your commitment to this project by becoming a member of HumIBA. Click here for information about member benefits.

5. Spread the word. Do you know Humboldt independent business owners? Let them know about this project.
